Youth Ministry

The Youth Ministry Program at St. Theodore’s is geared for grades 6-12; however, some events and gatherings will be separated by junior high and senior high grade levels. There is usually one to two events planned each month and they are publicized in the parish bulletin and through the Faith Formation Office.

There are many components to youth ministry and opportunities offered for all parish youth to get involved. These components encompass Spiritual to reflect on Christian values and morals, Social to have a chance to “hang out” with friends in a safe and friendly environment and Service to volunteer to help others in our parish and community, especially those less fortunate than us.

We have two rooms designated for our Youth Ministry Program; one room for recreation with a pool/ping pong table, air hockey and foos ball tables, TV with play station games and one room for our gathering and discussion space with sofas and chairs and an area for board games and a TV for Movie Nights.

Parent Chaperones are needed for all of our gatherings. Volunteers are required to have completed the Safe Environment Training Session. A health form needs to be on file for each teen participant along with a permission form for activities outside the parish.

Junior High Events (Grades 6-8)

Junior high youth gatherings are offered once a month in a safe, welcoming and fun environment with adult supervision.  After time to socialize with friends, we gather in a large group for prayer, icebreakers and discussions on church topics and everyday junior high issues. Social events include bowling and ice skating.  Service events include volunteering at the pasta dinner and breakfast with Santa.
