Music

Music is an integral part of our liturgical life at St. Theodore's. It enhances our prayer and helps people participate more fully at Mass. There are many opportunities for musicians, singers and instrumentalists to give back to God and our parish the gifts and talents that God has given them.

For more information, call the parish office at 429-6811.

St. Theodore's Choir

St. Theodore’s Choir sings at 9:00AM mass on Sundays from October to June. It is open to men, women and high school students who want to sing choral music in a variety of styles. We are accompanied by organ, piano, acoustic and bass guitars, depending on the style of music. Rehearsals take place each Wednesday night at 7:00.

Rock of Faith

Rock of Faith is a contemporary ensemble, aka rock style band that ministers at masses focused on parish youth. The group plays once or twice a month at the 9:00AM mass through the course of the school year. Weekly rehearsals are on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00.

For more information, please email Patrick Furchill.

Cantors

Cantors are the leaders of sung prayer when the choir is not in session and at other liturgies and prayer services throughout the year. Training is required and available at the parish.

St. Theodore's Handbell Choir

St. Theodore’s Handbell Choir enhances our sung prayer at mass once a month. It is open to men, women and high school students. The ability to read music is helpful but not required. Training on a one-to-one basis is available. Rehearsals are on Monday evenings at 7:00. This bell choir is available to ring at weddings.

St. Theodore’s Youth Handbell Choir is open to girls and boys from grades 3-8. They play at mass several times during the year, including Christmas Eve at the family mass. Rehearsals take place each Thursday, October through May from 4:30-5:15. Training is also available on a one-to-one basis.

Instrumentalists

Instrumentalists such as flutists, cellists, oboists, violinists add so much to our Sunday celebrations and special times during the year. If you play an instrument and would like to give back to God the talent he has given you, please consider joining our music ministry.
